Sally’s story

Sally talk about how she had built her numeracy skills and confidence

Sally attended ‘Everyday Maths’ classes, for free, at Glasgow Science Centre for ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) learners

She tells us:

“The course includes, adding, taking away and multiplying, but also percentages and data, which I’ve never done most of these before. It’s very interesting! I am using my newfound skills in everyday life, when going shopping, managing my money and cooking. I’ve made a lot of new friends on this course. I’ve learnt lots about maths. The activities are really creative and well thought out. The tutors are fantastic and it’s a really supportive environment. Lots of people are in a similar boat to me.”
