Who are these courses for?

If you are aged 16 or over and would like to get better at using numbers and figures at work, at home, when out socialising, doing a hobby, past-time or sport, there’s a course for you.

If you don’t have at least a National 5, Standard Grade or O-Grade qualification in maths or arithmetic, then you are eligible for a free training course. Some of the courses offer qualifications too.

Some courses are delivered by local colleges, particularly those that offer qualifications and others are operated by charities, community learning organisations and the third-sector arranged by local authorities in local community centres or venues.

You can attend any of the qualification-based courses at local colleges regardless of where you live but you need to be resident in the relevant council area for local community courses.
